Betty Jean Gabrysz

Betty J. Gabrysz, age 92, passed away at her home on Tuesday, September 25, 2018. Born in Shamokin, PA on March 21, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Ziby Burd and Rosalie Murdock.
Betty leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Marie Rodarmel, Bernadette Brownwell and husband, Robert and Theresa Herrera. She is also survived by three step children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sister, Florence Chip Shuler and brother, Walter Murdock.
Betty never met a stranger and loved everyone she met. Her church family always held a special place in her heart.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, September 28, 2018 at 12:00 noon at Church on the Rise, 3520 Bishop Road, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.

Your mother always looked so nice at church– but the best thing she had on was her friendly smile! Ill bet its especially huge now that God has her with him. No more pain, just the sweetness of heaven. Bernadette, you took the best care of your mother that any daughter could. Through all of the good and bad times, you and Bob were there for her, keeping her safe and comfortable. No one could ask for a better legacy. She was truly blessed. We are so glad she has peace now.
