ROCKY MOUNT – It is with deepest sorrow that Katayvious Da’Quantez Lawrence, Jr. was born silent into this world on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, in Durham County, NC.
Though his time with us was far too brief, the love we hold for him will last for an eternity. We dreamed of a lifetime of firsts and forever memories, and we will cherish every moment of the precious time we were able to spend with him.
Katayvious was the much-loved son of Katayvious Da’Quantez Lawrence and Are’ana Hunter; and the cherished grandson of Antonio and Monique Hunter, Travis and Keone Benjamin and Katrina Lawrence; aunts, Tayana Hunter, Katraviona Benjamim; uncle, Ke’andre Rogers, and a host of loving great-grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
While our hearts are heavy with a grief that words cannot fully express, we find some comfort in knowing that Katayvious will forever be our sweet angel. We will carry the imprint of his tiny feet on our hearts for all of our days.
A private service will be held for close family. In lieu of flowers, we ask that you hold your loved ones close and cherish every moment.
We are so grateful for the love and support of our family and friends during this devastating time. Though our arms ache to hold our baby, we will hold Katayvious in our hearts forever.
Revelation 21:4 says, “And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”
