SPRING HOPE – Gary Gene Roache, Sr, 79, went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 19, 2025.
Gary was born on November 7, 1945, in Sanford, NC to the late Finley Ross Roache and Elizabeth Wicker Roache. Gary graduated from Deep River High School and later met the love of his life Wanda Wilson. They were married on August 31, 1967.
Gary went on to work with A&P Grocery Store where he worked until his next career move to the Coca-Cola Company. Once he retired, he built his own business, Gage Commercial Laminates, Inc., which has been in business for 38 years. He was known for his love of family, travel and humor. He had a gift for cracking jokes.
Gary is survived by his wife of 57 years, Wanda Wilson Roache; his children, Michelle Roache DeFruscio (David) and Gene Roache; his grandchildren, Gary Roache (Rita), Wesley Roache, Natalie DeFruscio Bell (Parker) and David DeFruscio Jr.; his great-grandchildren, Elsie and Eliza; and his sister, Robin Roache Sink.
In addition to his parents, Gary was preceded in death by his sister, Sandra Roache Neal; and brothers, Stephen Roache, David Roache, Richard Roache and Byron Roache.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
