NASHVILLE – Dollie Mae Manning Williams, age 94, passed away on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. Born in Nash County, NC on August 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Reuben Morgan and Ada Pearl Morgan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Manning; sons, David Manning, Robert Manning; daughter, Della Parrish; and grandson, J.T. Parrish.

Dollie loved her family, church family, and special friend Jean Tanner. A woman of great faith, she was a long-time member of West Mount Baptist Church. Dollie was also a member at Tabernacle of Praise. She was a true image bearer of Christ and a beacon of light and hope for all who knew and loved her. Dollie will be deeply missed. But we have peace knowing she is with her Heavenly Father. She made a difference in the life of everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.

Dollie leaves to cherish her memories, her children, Carol Hyde (Frankie), Tim Manning (Kathy), James Joyner (Cathy), Rae Manning, Lessie Manning, Wesley Parrish; grandchildren, Candie, Crystal, Tony, Robert, Chris, Angel, David, Amy, Darrell, R.J., Brian, Eric, Haley; she has several great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 661 English Road Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Rev. Ray Vick officiating. Burial will follow the service at Oakdale Cemetery. A visitation will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
