Stanley Terrell Sr.

WHITAKERS – Stanley Terrell, Sr., age 89, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. Born in Wetumpka, Al on December 15, 1936, he was the son of the late William Terrell and Delilah Ross Boulden. He was also preceded in death by his significant other, Nora Hill; brothers, Wilbert Terrell and Ricky Terrell.

Stanley proudly served his Country in the United States Army, including being stationed for 2 years in Germany. He also worked for over 30 years as an exemplary employee of the New Jersey Turnpike Authority, starting as a toll collector and working his way up to a supervisor. Stanley was a quiet and reserved man who enjoyed the simple things in life. He loved watching sports and was a loyal fan of the New York Knicks and the New York Giants. He also enjoyed spending time watching his favorite TV shows, especially Law & Order and Chicago Fire.

Stanley will be remembered for his calm nature and quiet presence. He touched the lives of those who knew him in his own special way and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

His memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved him.

Stanley is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Terrell; son, Stanley Terrell, Jr.; bonus son, Noah Jasgarszewski; granddaughter, Jasmine Terrell; special cousin and friend, Eugene Jeeter.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 661 English Road Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Rev.  Dr. Frances Davis, officiating and Rev. James Grant, as the Eulogist. A visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 10:45 AM prior to the service in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
