Edna Chirch Farrow

ROCKY MOUNT – Edna Chirch Farrow, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026. Born in North Carolina on April 20, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Billy Eugene Chirch and Corene Faye Chirch.

Edna was a woman of faith, joy, and gentle grace. She faithfully attended church and knew the Lord as her Savior, living her life with a quiet strength rooted in her belief and trust in Him. Her faith guided her daily walk and was a steady source of comfort and hope to those around her.

Edna had a joyful spirit and a love for life that was evident in the things she enjoyed most. She loved to sing karaoke and dance, never missing an opportunity to share laughter and happiness with others. Music brought her alive, and her joy was contagious.

She also found peace and purpose in crocheting, creating countless handmade pieces that reflected her patience, creativity, and care. Each stitch was a gift of love, thoughtfully made and freely given.

Those who knew Edna will always remember her for her warmth—and quite literally, for the way she smelled. Her signature perfume was a comforting and familiar presence, one that friends and family fondly recall as uniquely and beautifully her.

Edna will be deeply missed, but her faith, joy, and loving presence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Her life was a testament to love, devotion, and the simple beauty of living with joy and purpose.

Edna is survived by her sons, Scott Barnett, Shawn Barnett (Michelle); five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren; sister, Judith Chirch, and brother, Clyde Eugene Chirch.
