SPRING HOPE – Jason Nicholas Brumfield, age 12, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025. Born in Nash County, NC on September 22, 2013.

Jason was a curious and adventurous boy who found wonder in the world around him. He loved outer space and often dreamed of the stars, planets, and the mysteries of the universe. A true lover of science, he was always asking questions, eager to learn and discover more.

He enjoyed riding his bike, playing Mario, and spending time with his friends and family. Some of his happiest moments were the summers spent working alongside his dad on tow boats, learning the ropes and cherishing their time together.

Faith was an important part of his life, and he loved going to church, where he built special connections with his community. He first attended Coopers Elementary School and later thrived while being homeschooled, where his love of learning continued to shine.

Most of all, Jason will be remembered for his kindness, his big heart, and the joy he brought into the lives of his family and friends. Though his journey ended too soon, the memories he created will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

Jason is survived by his parents, Charles Edward Brumfield, Ashley Nichole Brickhouse; brothers, Charles Edward Brumfield, Jr., Dakota Laine Brumfield, Brendon Lee Brumfield, Brandon Paul Brumfield; sister, Jillian Frances Brumfield; maternal grandparents, Rodney Lee and Sarah Frances Brickhouse; paternal grandparents, Bruce Bennett and Brenda Lou Brumfield, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
