Randall "Scott" Hare

NASHVILLE – Randall Scott Hare, age 56, passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025.  Born in Nash County, NC on January 29, 1969, he was the son of the late Donald Hare and Julia Faye Byrd Hare.

Scott was a devoted family man whose greatest joy came from the time he spent with his loved ones. A proud father and grandfather, he cherished every moment with his family, especially his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

Scott had a passion for the outdoors, whether he was playing a round of golf, enjoying a day on the river, or simply taking in the beauty of nature. He was happiest with a golf club in hand or surrounded by the people he loved most.

A true jack of all trades, Scott had a gift for fixing anything. His skills as a handyman were matched only by his willingness to help others whenever they needed it. Family and friends could always count on him, not just for his knowledge and ability, but for his steady presence and generous heart.

Scott will be remembered for his unwavering love for his family, his laughter, and the countless ways he made life better for those around him. His memory will live on in the stories shared, the lessons taught, and the love he poured into his family.

Scott is survived by his wife, Jalyn Hare; his sons, Randall Scott Hare, Jr. (Nicole), Brandon Scott Hare (Ashley), Caleb Moss, Jason Hare, and Travis Hare (Nicole Berg-Redick); grandchildren, Matthew Hare, Camden “Boot-Boot” Hare, Kynslee Teel, and Kayleigh Hare; and his bonus grandchildren, Aiden Womack, Cashion Womack, and Aaliyah Womack.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Kim Taylor officiating.  Visitation with the family will be from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home.
