Alice Elizabeth Poland

ROCKY MOUNT - Alice Elizabeth Poland, age 67, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on September 27, 1953, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Hazel Crisp. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donnie Ray Poland, Sr. Alice enjoyed taking trips to the beach. She loved to take care of children. Above all, her most cherished memories will be those spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family. Alice is survived by her son, Donnie Ray Poland, Jr., of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Mariah Poland, Aubrey Poland, and Cameron Poland; and her brother, Lee Crisp, of Salisbury. A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Joyner Family Cemetery with Rev. Tony Shearin officiating. A visitation with the family will follow the service at the graveside.
