Scotland Neck - Ann Yvonne Dickens, age 80, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2019 at Bryan Health and Rehab in Scotland Neck. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on January 13, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Robert Samuel and Ethel Willoughby Dickens. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sloan. Ann leaves behind to cherish her memory, two aunts, Edna Pierce and Anna Little of Rocky Point, NC, friend Diana Webb of Finlay Ohio that gave her a home for 11 years. She is also survived by several nieces, guardian, Catherine Arrington of Battleboro, NC and longtime friend, Dorothy Davis of Tarboro, NC and a host of friends. Ann was a faithful member of Oak View Baptist Church for 68 years, where she was a charter member and attended faithfully until her health declined. Ann loved her Pastor David Taylor and her church family. She loved to go shopping and out to eat. She will be truly missed A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 7:30 PM in the chapel of the Funeral Home with Pastor David Taylor officiating.
