Barbara Ann Gifford

ROCKY MOUNT - Barbara Ann Gifford, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021. Born in Robeson County, NC on October 8, 1935, she was the daughter of the late Cary Edwards and Artie Leola Edwards. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jonathan Gifford; her son, Kenneth Flowers; her sister, Verona Turner; and her brother, Albert Edwards. Barbara was a true believer in Christ. She loved her family and spending time with them. Barbara touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness. She will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Beverly O'Berry and husband, Speedy, of Nashville; her sons, Larry Flowers and wife, Belinda, of Rocky Mount, and Sammy Flowers, of South Carolina; and her grandchildren, Melissa Hinnant, Megan Flowers, Sarah O'Berry, and Stephanie Flowers. A Graveside Service will be held on Monday, December 20, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum. The family will be available to receive friends and relatives immediately following the service in the Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Barbara's memory to The American Cancer Society, Post Office Box 11796, Charlotte, NC 28220.
