CASTALIA – Charles Shultz, age 88, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Born in Gaston, NC on November 14, 1935, he was the son of the late Isaac Luther Shultz and Ellen Angeline Davis Shultz. He was also preceded in death by his wife’s, Betty Theresa Shultz, Sylvia Shultz, and five brothers and sisters.
Charles was a lifelong farmer, most people in the area knew his farm as Little Egypt even though he was a diesel mechanic by trade his whole life. Charles enjoyed carpentry work or walking trails with his beloved dogs. Charles also had a hobby of crushing cans. He enjoyed helping others and was very active in storm relief activities, but his top priority in life was serving Jehovah. Charles will be deeply missed. He made a difference in the life of everyone who knew him, and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.
Charles is survived by his children, Lori Bass (John), James Lee Shultz (Judy), Michael Wayne Shultz (Deborah), Gregory Charles Shultz (Marilyn). Host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18,2024 at 2:00 PM at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1830 Old Mill Road Rocky Mount, NC 27803 with Bro. Christopher Mc Ghee officiating.
