ROCKY MOUNT – Cynthia Jean Woodruff, age 65, passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023. Born in Great Lakes, IL on December 17, 1957, she was the daughter of Patricia Woodruff Daniels, of Fort Myers, FL and the late William Woodruff, Sr.
Cindy grew up in Norfolk, VA and in 1985 moved to Nashua, NH. This is where she met Jeff, her best friend and soul mate. In 1998, Cindy and Jeff relocated to Rocky Mount, NC which became home for them where Cindy worked 15 years at QVC as an inspector.
Cindy loved traveling and hiking in her earlier years. Cindy loved to wander around flea markets, was an avid reader and seamstress. She often made gifts for others that she had knitted or sewed to make someone’s day special. Cindy was also a creative song writer, often serenading her dogs with her impromptu selections. Cindy was also a well-known jokester and loved to make people laugh and smile. She especially loved her husband, her home and her dogs. Cindy’s fun personality, big heart and loving smile will be deeply missed.
Cindy is survived by her husband and best friend of 35 years, Jeffrey Hamilton; her sister, Sue Morton (Geoffrey) of Colorado; her brother, William Woodruff, Jr. (Michele) of Pennsylvania; her nieces, Alexandra (Dzmitry Shamkalovich), Mary and Colleen; and her fur-babies, Mollie, Mario and Barney.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Cindy’s memory to the American Kidney Foundation 7020 Albemarle Rd. Charlotte, NC 28227.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
