David A Hammond

ROCKY MOUNT - David Arthur Hammond, age 58, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Born in Kilwinning, North Aryshire, Scotland on November 17, 1962, he was the son of James A. Hammond and the late Mary Gorman Hammond. He was also preceded in death by his mother; and brother, James William Hammond. David was a military brat, moving around a lot growing up. He was self employed as a painter in construction for over 40 years in the Myrtle Beach, SC area. David enjoyed collecting driftwood. He loved to go fishing and play frisbee golf in his spear time. He was a loving son, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him. David is survived by his father, James Hammond; his son, David James Hammond, of Spartanburg, SC; his grandchildren, Mika Hammond and Kia Hammond; his uncle, Donnie Wayne Hammond, of Rocky Mount; his aunts, Fairy Ann Wilson, Judy Langley, and Bonnie Gail Toler, of Rocky Mount, and Mable Ruth Hunt, of Yadkinville; many dear friends in Murrells Inlet, SC, Calvin Albert and dear friend Nicole.
