Dylan Grant Whitley

ROCKY MOUNT - Dylan Grant Whitley, age 25, passed away on Saturday, July 3, 2021. Born in Wilson County, NC on August 13, 1995, he was the son of the late Steven Johnson and Angela Eileen Whitley. He was also preceded in death by his grandpa, Rudolph Franklin Whitley, who was like a father to him; and an infant nephew, Tanner Whitley Malak. The family would like to share that through the gift of organ donation, Dylan changed the lives of several families throughout the county. Dylan is survived by his sister, Brandy Nicole Whitley, of Virginia Beach, VA; beloved grandma, Betty Fenn and husband, Henry, of Wilson; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. A celebration of Dylan's life will be held on Friday, July 9, 2020 at 2:30 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Alan Whitley, Dylan's uncle officiating. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the Chapel Johnson Funeral Home. We lost him June 29th. You are laying at rest with him now. We will say our goodbyes tomorrow. You are back with your mom. I know you are glad to be back by her side.
