Elaine Ann Szarafin Proctor

ROCKY MOUNT - Elaine Ann Szarafin Proctor, age 78, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. Born in Suffolk County, MA on December 13, 1942, she was the daughter of the Jerome and Dorothy Greeley Szarafin. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Edward Lance Proctor; and her brother, Kenny Panciocco. Elaine was a very active member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for many years. She was the secretary for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Elaine also worked for 23 years for the Nash County Department of Social Services. A true family-oriented lady, Elaine enjoyed most of all, being with her 3 sons and grandchildren. She will always be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and friend to all who knew her. Elaine is survived by her sons, Lance Eliard Proctor of Rocky Mount, Daniel Thomas Proctor of Rocky Mount, and Derek Roan Proctor and his girlfriend, Cheryl Davis, of Lake Lure; her grandchildren, Kelley Marie Williams and her husband Mikey, Hallie Blythe Proctor, and Chase Ethan Proctor. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church, 331 Hammond Street, Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Father Tim Meares celebrating. Burial will follow the Mass at Proctor Family Cemetery, 6266 Nobles Mill Pond Rd., Rocky Mount NC, 27801. Visitation with the family will be from 12:00 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church.
