Ella Ree Plummer, age 84 of Sharpsburg went to be with the Lord on September 19, 2019 at her home. She was born July 20, 1935 to the late Rufus Albert Langley and Bessie Mae Langley of Elm City.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” Plummer; brothers, Raymond Albert Langley, Marvin A. Langley, William James Langley; sister, Doris Mae Langley Bailey; son-in-law Bobby “Glenn” Proctor, great grandson Camren Hansen, great- great granddaughters Cora and Ella Brink.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Bobby “Wayne” Griffin of Rocky Mount, Douglas Griffin (Diane) of Rocky Mount; her daughters, Patricia Proctor of Sharpsburg, Wanda Sanderson of Pinetops, Darlene Richardson (Lindsey) of Raleigh. Sister Bonnie Langley of Rocky Mount, nine grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and her cat Sonny.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Shelly, Chanequa and Sabrina at Hospice Palliative Care of Nash UNC.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 23, 2019 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at Pineview Cemetery.
