Eva May "Pee Wee" Crawford

Eva May “Pee Wee” Crawford Born October 3 1930 to Hiram and Annie Strickland. She was the youngest of 11 children all of whom she is preceded by. She is also preceded in death by her son Andy Parker and daughters Melodie Parker and Gwen Lester. She leaves behind a son, Steve Parker and wife Carol of Raleigh, along with grandsons Kyle Parker and wife Lindsey of Raleigh, Jason Owens of Rocky Mount, granddaughter Katie and wife Bri, great granddaughter Courtney Owens of Rocky Mount and great grandson Cayden of Salem, Virginia. She also leaves behind 3 nephews (who were like sons to her), Billy and Wayne Strickland of Waycross, Ga. and Charlie Strickland of Saint Marys, Ga. Pee Wee always had a servants heart helping others while doing without herself. She enjoyed her grandchildren and family most of all. Her favorite pastimes were picking vegetables with her best friend Doris and then canning, so fresh vegetables were always on the table. She loved her home and living independently on the farm where she spent her final days. There wasnt a joke told that she didnt like. She loved the Duke Blue Devils basketball team, and Carolina Panthers. A special thanks to Dr. Slater, Dr. Huffman and Nash Hospice who cared for her. If you ever met her, you would never forget her. She will be sorely missed by all. The family will receive friends and relatives on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. A Funeral Service will be held immediately following the visitation at 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Pineview Cemetery.
