Evelyn Logan Savage

ROCKY MOUNT - Evelyn Logan Savage age 89, passed away on Monday, February 8, 2021. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on October 13, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Vernon Prestley and Mollie Pearl Braswell Logan. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edward Savage; her daughter, Sandra Joanne Savage; her sisters, Doris Logan Batts and Marjorie Logan Gilmore; and her brothers, Stephen, Donnie, Milton, James Preston and John Darryll Logan. Evelyn worked for Battle, Winslow, Scott and Wiley Attorneys for forty years as a legal secretary. She volunteered for Meals on Wheels for many years. Evelyn was a former member of Englewood Baptist Church and attended Memorial Baptist Church and she loved the Lord. Evelyn's first love and her most important love was her family, they knew they could always count on her. She was an avid reader and loved being in the yard gardening. Evelyn will be remembered with love as a, loving mother, amazing grandmother, sister and friend to all who knew and loved her. Evelyn is survived by her son, Randall Vernon Savage and wife, Patricia Eileen of Rocky Mount; 4 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; her sisters, Joyce Logan Eatmon and husband, Bill of Rocky Mount and Mollie Logan Yoder of Sharpsburg; and many nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service for Evelyn will be held on Saturday, February 13, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Tony Russ officiating. Flowers are welcome.   1. I used to be departmental secretary for Business Technologies at NCC and Evelyn took care of me when I would have to see one of our adjunct professors that worked for Battle, Winslow, Scott, & Wiley. She was a fine lady. I will always be grateful to her and her kindness shown to me.
