Frances Geraldine Jones Frances Geraldine Jones passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2020. Born in Elm City, NC on March 27, 1939, she was the daughter of Leland and Sally Bass. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William "Luke" Jones, brothers, Leland Bass, Jr. and Robert Bass, and great-grandchildren, Julianna and Journee Jones. She is survived by her son, David Jones (MaryEtta); daughter, Bettie Hayes (Rick); brother, James "Joe" Bass; and sisters, Pauline Surles and Anne Vernon. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Brandon (April), Dustin, David (Jaimi), Miriam, Matthew, and Sarah; great-grandchildren, Wesley, Elijah, Jeremiah, Alex, and Mayzi; and a host of nieces and nephews. She enjoyed spending time with her family, watching westerns, completing word search puzzles, and drinking Dr. Pepper. She was a member of Sure Foundation Ministries in Rocky Mount.
