Fred William Payne

Dr. Fred William Payne, Jr., age 90, passed away on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Born on September 2, 1927, he was the son of the late Fred William Payne Sr. and Martha Hooten Payne. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jones Payne. Dr. Payne leaves behind to cherish his memory, sons, William Henderson Payne, Robert Craig Payne and wife, Marty and Christopher David Payne and wife, Christina. He is also survived by grandchildren, Adam Christopher Payne, Mathew Nicholas Payne, Jason Britt Glover and wife Candy, Haley Glover Cole and husband Derrick, great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Renee Glover and Trey Britt Glover. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Memorial Park in the Chapel on the Hill Mausoleum.
