Iva Marie Jackson

Rocky Mount - Iva Marie Jackson, age 80, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018. Born in Wilson County, NC on May 6, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Lonnie R. and Iva E. Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lonnie Jackson, William Jackson, Roscoe Jackson, Wilbur Jackson, Billy Jackson and Jimmy Jackson; and one sister, Inez Bass. Marie leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Susan Toffton (John), of Rocky Mount. She is also survived by grandchildren, Shannon Toffton of Raleigh, Mandy Wood (Lee) of Nashville, Kristin Kirk (Ron) of Raleigh, great-grandchildren, Caden Wood and Greyson Crocker of Nashville; sister, Doris Godwin of Wilmington and brother, Bobby Jackson (Margaret) of Sharpsburg. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends at the Covenant Homes. Marie was a member of Englewood Assembly of God. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 7, 2018 from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home with the funeral service following at 6:30 PM in the Chapel. There will be a private burial.   1. Marie will truly be miss. She was a great neighbor at Covenant Homes. She was always ready to lend a helping hand. She had a Beautiful smile whenever you came in contact with her. Marie was the first person to invite me to participate with several residents in our hour of prayer and worship in different apartments in Covenant homes. She was a true Christian through her walk and talk. You have my sincere condolences. May God comfort you during this sad time. Erma Jones.
