James Reddin Lewis

James Reddin Lewis III (Buddy), age 71, passed away on Sunday, August 7, 2016. Born on January 26, 1945, he was the son of the late James R. Lewis Jr. He was also preceded in death by his wife Paulette Joyner Lewis.
James leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughters, Renee Lewis-Harding and husband, Russell, of Rocky Mount and Jamie Lewis-Kelly. He is also survived by five grandchildren, Taylor Page, Caitlin Page, Will Harding, Amber Leigh and Dylan Thomas Kelly, brother, Steve Lewis and sister Betty Jean.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Peoples Chapel Church Cemetery, Stagecoach Road, Elm City. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, August 10, 2016 from 7:30 PM to 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services.
James was a loving father and grandfather and will be missed by many.

My condolences to the family. Take comfort from Gods word the Bible. This is a distress time for the family but in Psalms 461 it states God is our refuge and strength, A help that is readily found in times of distress. Also it is so encouraging to read Isiah 258 which states He will swallow up death forever, And the Sovereign Lord Jehovah will wipe away the tears from all faces. What a wonderful blessing for your and your entire family to enjoy.
