ROCKY MOUNT - Jeffrey Allan Simmons, age 55, passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Born in Jefferson County, TN on November 11, 1966, he was the son of Belle Dale Eason and the late Junior Simmons. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Lorrie Helton.
Jeffrey was a master craftsman and wood worker. He enjoyed spending time outside working in his yard. Jeffrey loved to spend time with his friends. Above all, his most cherished memories will be those spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, son, and brother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Denise Long Simmons; his daughter, Taylor Simmons of the home; his son, Timothy Simmons of home; his sisters, Jamie McDaniel and husband, Artie of TN, and Jennie Edwards and husband, Jimmy of Nashville; and his best friend, John Wells and wife, Tammy of Rocky Mount.
A Memorial Service to celebrate Jeffrey's life will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services. Visitation with the family will follow the service in the parlor of Johnson Funeral Home.
