John Emil Muller, age 69, passed away on Wednesday, March 14, 2018. Born in Essex County, NJ on July 13, 1948, he was the son of the late Charles Henry and Bonnie Schultz Muller.
John graduated from Columbia High School in Mapelwood, NJ in 1967. His favorite pastime was photography. John also enjoyed musical shows, Phantom of the Opera was his favorite. He enjoyed the occasional pipe and beer.
John joined the Air Force in 1968 to which he served 20 years and during this time he was stationed for 18 months in each of the following countries, Korea, Germany, England and Panama. He traveled to Egypt and saw the Pyramids Sphinx, he also traveled to Italy, Rome, Venice and Spain. After 20 years of Air Force service, he then spent 25 years with Burlington Coat Factory in Charlotte, NC and retired 2 years ago.
Funny Story: John went on vacation to Poconos, PA with Jeff and his sons Dave and Bryan. They all went horseback riding and John bragged on how good of a rider he was. He was the only one who fell off the horse that day.
John was kind to all and would talk to everyone. John loved to talk of his travels overseas. His favorite singer was Elvis Presley.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, March 20, 2018 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home.
