Kandice Batts
February 23, 1986 ~ January 11, 2024
ROCKY MOUNT – Kandice Batts, age 37, passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2024. Born in Hartford County, CT on February 23, 1986, she was the daughter of the late Paul Allen Scippa and Marilyn O’Driscoll Scippa.
Kandice had many loves in her life like going to the beach, music, fishing, and swimming (but only if she could see the bottom). She loved animals, especially dogs, and spending time outdoors working in her yard. Kandice’s true love was her family. She loved to be with her family, riding motorcycles with her husband, looking out for the neighborhood kids, and helping others. Kandice touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness.
Kandice is survived by her husband of 16 years, Nicholas Batts; daughter Kayleigh Kantorowski (Tristan Clanton) of Greenville; sons, Jessie Batts, Nicholas Shane Batts, Robert Scippa of Rocky Mount; grandchildren, Karsyn Clanton; aunt, Deborah Scippa of Arizona; cousins, Jessica Williams, Matthew Williams, Danielle Pribble of Arizona, Michael Williams of Colorado, John Rosa, Anthony Rosa, Jennifer Rosa of Shelton, Ct.
A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Hpme and Cremation Services on Thursday, January 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM.

“Glamma!” (Grandmother)…
I am so truly proud of her and even though she was the baby and I was the oldest I always looked up to her! My rock my strength my keeper… Gone way before her time.. but she was so many things to so many people she will never be forgotten!
