ROCKY MOUNT - Lonnie Carlton Jordan, age 60, passed away on Tuesday, September 28, 2021. Born in Halifax County, NC on February 9, 1961, he was the son of the late Lynwood William Jordan and Shirley Strickland Jordan. Lonnie loved welding and working with his hands. He loved to ride motorcycles in his down time. He was a great gardener. He was a fabulous cook and enjoyed cooking for his family and friends. Lonnie loved his dog, Sadie. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten. Lonnie is survived by his girlfriend, Michelle Joyner, of the home; and his sisters, Julia Perry of Youngsville, NC, and Lynn Strickland of Myrtle Beach, SC. Services are private.   2. L. J. was my coworker at Cummins RMEP for a few yrs. he was a reserve person when it came to it Lonnie loved his son alot love riding his Fatboy H-D and he almost cried when his bike got messed up. it had a nice paint job Great guy loved him like a brother.

  4. I’m saddened to learn of Lonnie’s passing, we just met while he worked at Wal-Mart in Tarboro for a brief time. Such a great guy RIP my friend

  5. SHOCKED!!! Just informed of Lonnie’s passing. I met him a few weeks ago and were working together at QVC. My condolences to his family

  6. We were saddened to learn of our former neighbor passing from this life prematurely. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and loved ones. Your work is over, Lonnie. Now, you get to walk in the most beautiful of gardens, where there are no weeds. All of our loved ones that went on before us, you can see, talk, and walk with again.
