HICKORY - Marsha Lynn Batchelor, age 71, passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on August 5, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Manuel Andrew Batchelor and Doris Trevathan Batchelor. Marsha loved to sit and talk with people. She enjoyed drawing and coloring. She touched the lives of so many people and will always be remembered with love and kindness. Marsha is survived by her sister, Pamela B. Gates and husband, J.W., of Conway, SC; her nephew, Jon Gates; and her great-nephew, Grayson Gates. A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, December 3, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery with Rev. Cleveland Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Friday, December 3, 2021 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be made in Marsha's memory to The Epilepsy Foundation of North Carolina, 1920 W 1st Street, Winston-Salem, NC 27104.
