Martha Pauline Walls

Rocky Mount - Martha Pauline Walls, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Born in Cleveland County, NC on October 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Beulah Whisnant. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Harley Walls and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Hayes Walls. Martha leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughter, Sylvia Tippett (Tommy) and son, Paul Walls (Beth). She is also survived by grandchildren, Justin Walls (Mandy), Ashley Walls Naylor (Jon) and Scott Powell (Linda); great-grandchildren, Jayden and Brailynn Walls and Brandon and Taylor Powell. She is also survived by brothers, Ralph Whisnant (Lauralee) and Earl Whisnant (Nancy). Martha was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a longtime member of Church of the Nazarene. She loved her church dearly and served as a Sunday school teacher. She was also on the missions board, fellowship committee and was a member of Meals on wheels. A visitation will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Rocky Mount Church of the Nazarene. Entombment will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park Mausoleum.   1. I will always be thankful for my 2nd Mom. She took care of me from diapers until . I will always cherish the times me, her, and Harley would watch holiday shows together and she always made sure I knew when they were coming on. She always made me smile when she would tell me she thought of me when she made brown eggs. Thank you for always being there for me ,making me a part of the Walls family and loving me unconditionally! I will miss you and I Love You!!
