Martha Waters

ROCKY MOUNT - Martha Waters, age 86, passed away on Sunday, February 13, 2022. Born in Nash County, NC on January 4, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Curtis K. Womble and Lucille Moore Womble. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Douglas Waters. Martha loved watching UNC basketball and never missed a game. She enjoyed shopping in her free time. Above all, Martha's most cherished memories will be those spent with her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family. Martha is survived by her son, Brian Waters, of Rocky Mount; her grandson, Logan Waters; her sister, Dewilda Joyner; and her brother Keith Womble and wife, Gwen, of Wendell.
