NASHVILLE - Mary Ann Manley Baker, age 71, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on March 6, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Roosevelt Manley and Reather Lynch Manley. She was number 12 of 16 siblings. She was also preceded in death by sisters and brothers. Mary and James were married in 1966, of this union four children were born, along with two grandchildren and were the loves of her life. She was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church for many years, and was also Baptized there. The Lord Jesus Christ was always first in her life. Mary is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, James Earl Baker of Nashville; her sons, James H. Baker of Lawrenceville, GA and Timothy Deon Baker of Rocky Mount; her daughters, Conswella Baker of Nashville, and Pamela Baker of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Brianna and Jayden; her sisters, Geraldine Staton and her husband, Len of Baltimore, MD, Gloria Dean Norfleet of Castalia, Linda Allen and her husband, Hoby of Greensboro, Sue Ella Harrison of Nashville; her brothers, Willie Lewis Manley of Columbia, MD and John Arthur Manley of Baltimore, MD; along with many extended family and friends. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 3, 2020 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Minister Ethan Arrington officiating. Burial will follow the service at Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be held from 12:15 PM to 1:45 PM prior to the service in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services.
