Nancy Rowe Baines

Rocky Mount - Nancy Rowe Baines, age 73, passed away at Nash General Hospital on Wednesday, October 25, 2017. Born in Nash County, NC on November 22, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin Riley Rowe II and Virginia Bryan Rowe. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie “Pro” Baines; brother, Benjamin Riley Rowe III; mother-in-law, Millie Baines and father-in-law, Charlie Baines; brothers-in-law, Wiley Baines, Buddy Baines, Joseph Boseman and Gray Baines. Nancy leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Mariah Maloy and husband, Larry, Ann Sykes and husband, Steve Sykes, Jr. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Katherine Sykes and Stephanie Sykes, one great-grandchild, Bentley Owens; and sisters-in-law, Shera Rowe, Emily Baines, Malda Baines, Connie Boseman and Jeanne Baines. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff of Hunter Hill Nursing and Rehab and also to Nash General Hospital for the wonderful care that was shown to Nancy while in their care. A visitation will be held on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services.
