Lumberton - Pattie Bailey Rose, age 97, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019. Born in Nash County, NC on April 12, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Ben and Lettie Bailey. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Rose; daughters, Ernestine, Dorothy, Grace Gaston and son Henry (Tommy) Rose, two sisters, Mavis Harper, and Rachel Bailey; and two brothers, Linwood and Russell Bailey.
Pattie leaves behind to cherish her memory, daughters, Lucille Hondros of Houston, TX, Pattie Winstead of GA and Darlene and husband Lloyd (Bill) Matthews of Lumberton. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pattie was also a long-time member of North Church of God in Rocky Mount, NC.
A visitation will be help on Monday, July 29, 2019 from 12:00 to 1:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Pineview Cemetery.

I remember pattie rose from the prayer meetings we use to have in nursing homes and she was such a sweet person i know you will miss your mama but heaven is rejoicing now praying for the family
To my dear Aunt Darlene, Aunt Lucille and Aunt Tootsie, I am so very sorry for the passing of Grandmother. She was a strong woman in so many ways and lived a very long life.
