Philip M. Rackley

CASTALIA - Philip M. Rackley, age 74, passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on May 13, 1947, he was the son of the late Elisha Welford Rackley and Marie Moore Rackley.
Philip served in the US Army. He loved living on the farm, often stating that he felt more at home there than anywhere else. Philip lived in Highland, NC for many years while working with a contractor building houses. He moved back to spend the remainder of his live life in Castalia and Nashville area. He had a great love for flowers. He was a loving father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Philip is survived by his daughter, Sabrina Pace, of Brevard; his grandchildren, Savanna Smith, Betty Jean Smith, Samuel Smith, Shia Smith, Hala Pace, and Serenity Pace; and several cousins.
