Ronald Nicholson Hedgepeth

Ronald “Ron” Nicholson Hedgepeth., age 73, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2017 after a short battle with cancer. Ronald was the son of the late Osmond and Ora Mae Hedgepeth. He was also preceded in death by his brother Samuel “Sammy” Hedgepeth. Ronald leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 44 years, Marilyn Hedgepeth and loyal companion “Meeko.” He is also survived by one brother, Earl Hedgepeth of Newton, NC and several nieces and nephews. Ronald was a Vietnam Veteran who served his country in the US Air Force for 4 years during which he was awarded the Bronze Star. Ron retired from Abbotts Laboratories after 30 years of service. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 2:00 PM at in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Rocky Mount Memorial Park.   2. Marilyn, Ron was a kind and loving husband to you. He loved you dearly. May you always cherish the memories the two of you made. In our hearts we feel he left too soon, but God called him home and probably said ( well done my child ,welcome home). May God wrap his arms around you and give you comfort.
