ROCKY MOUNT – Ronald Pete Hockett, age 76, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. Born in Nash County, NC on January 25, 1948, he was the son of the late Peter Jack Hockett and Addie Clemmons Hockett. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Haithcock Hockett; sister’s, Lela Bell Webber, Shirley Ann White, Jackie Todd; and brother, David Lee Hockett.
Ronald was an outdoors man you could aways find him outside in the garden, hunting or fishing. Above all, his most cherished memories will be those spent with his family. Ronald was a loving brother and uncle. He will be deeply missed. Ronald made a difference in the life of everyone who knew him and he leaves behind a tremendous legacy of life, love, and laughter.
Ronald is survived by his sister, Rachel Hockett Miller; niece’s, Charlene Hockett, Paula Evans; nephew, Wayne Miller Jr., and dear friend Herman Wood.
