Mrs Wells was my fourth grade teacher. She read to us everyday after lunch. She helped give me my love of books and reading. She was a very good teacher. My thoughts and prayers are with the family Linda bottoms
Mrs. Wells was a special lady who had a big smile and a kind word for everyone. Enjoy your rewards in heaven–you deserve everyone of them!
She was our fourth grade teacher and as we became adults and parents she was our friend. A friend just as close as family. She was a great mother to her boys and many others in the community that were in and out of her home. RUth loved and doted on her grandchildren and great grands. She ruled with a strong velvet hand especially when we giggled in church..such sweet sweet memories. Give Mr. T.B., Muddy, And sweet Peggy a big hug for us. You will be missed dear friend. We love you. Ken and Pam Strickland
To all the family, Im so very sorry for your loss. My thoughts & prayers are with you all.
We are so sorry for your loss. Howard and Maggie Staton
Ms. Ruth lived next door to us in Pinetops for a few years until she moved in with Steve just down the street from us. I was not privileged to have her for a teacher. She loved to talk about her years of teaching And how proud she was of her students. She was a sweetheart and was a joy to spend time with. Our prayers are with her family.
There is not enough space here to share all the fond memories I have of Aunt Ruth. I cherish the memories spent with Aunt Ruth, Uncle TB and the rest of the Wells family. She was not only a second mother to me, but a mentor and inspiration. In the good times and the bad she was one of the strongest in her support of our family. She had an unshakable faith in our Lord, and never wavered. No matter how long between our visits, we always picked right up where we last were. As much as we who are left will miss her, she is rejoicing in heaven. Well done, good and faithful servant. Love and prayers to all, June.
Were so sorry to hear about Ruth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Hilda Wheeler and family
Bill and Steve, I remember your mom teaching me in the 4th grade like it was yesterday. Really loved her reading Charlotte’s Web to the class. So sorry for your loss. She was a great lady.

Ruth was more than a teacher at school. She was a teacher for God. She was amazing! Every time I walked in to see her, she would greet me with the biggest tightest hug and kiss my face. Told me how much she loved me and missed me so much! Ruth knew how to love people with the love of God… she was a friend to me and a teacher in so many ways. I miss her deeply already. Her love was contagious. Prayers for all of her children and grandchildren. I believe without a doubt, that shes in heaven dancing and still serving the Lord.
Ruth welcomed me my first day of teaching (forty six years ago) and I felt like we had known each other for years. She had a warm smile and kind words for everyone. Once we moved to Virginia I loved receiving her letters filled with stories of her family, their vacations and updates on her gardens. Thoughts and prayers to her family and many friends.

Dear Wells Family, I just learned about Aunt Ruths passing this morning and was so sorry to hear it. I wish I had known sooner. I would have come up to see you all. I remember the summers when you all would come to visit us in Central. We would have a great time! I will remember Aunt Ruth as a beautiful and classy woman who loved her children and grandchildren. I will think of her when I am working in my garden and feeding my birds. All my love to my North Carolina cousins! I will be praying for you all. Jill Garrett Sims
