Sylvia Roleene Rhodes

Sylvia Roleene Williamson Rhodes passed away on Friday, April 21st after suffering a lengthy illness. She was born in Lucama in Wilson County NC to the late Roland Williamson and Annie Bailey Williamson. She is preceded in death by her husband, Charles Harris Rhodes, Jr., her sisters Catherine W. Roberson, Mamie Lamm, Polly Bardin, Adele Tyson and brothers, Leland Williamson, Wilbur “Pete” Williamson, Lamont Williamson and Freddie Williamson. Sylvia leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters, Denise Rhodes (husband Jim Crabtree) and Cynthia Conway. One grandson, Joshua Conway (wife Christina Conway) and two great grandsons, Nathan and Kyle Conway. She had enjoyed working for over 30 years at Boddie-Noell Enterprises and made several longtime friends there. She had also been active in the Rocky Mount Christmas Chorale and the Rocky Mount chapter of the American Business Womens Association (ABWA) for many years. A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM at Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services.
