Tracy Scott Williford

WILSON – Tracy Scott Williford, age 54, passed away on Friday, July 28, 2023. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on December 21, 1968, he was the son of Theresa Proctor Williford and the late Herbert Frank Williford. Known affectionately by his grandchildren as “Papa T”, Tracy was an avid fisherman and loved spending time playing with his sidekick, Dixie at the park. He was active in Boy Scouts for many years and had a love for camping and water rafting. Tracy was a great drummer and enjoyed reading his Bible. He loved grilling and cooking out for his family, and he will be dearly missed by all of those who knew him and loved him, but his loving spirit will never be forgotten as he was everything to his family. Tracy is survived by his life partner Christie; his daughters, Sarah (Bryan), of Elm City, Karah (Jamie), of Ormond Beach, Tracy-Amber, of Greenville; his grandchildren, Leeland, Julien, Braxton, Levi, Logan, Brynlee, Londyn, Adriana and Dani; his brother, Tony (Phyllis), of Nashville; his niece Amanda, of Wilson; multiple cousins; and his beloved dog, Dixie Crystal Williford. I have so many memories I could tell about, but the one that always came up when we were just riding and listening to music was when we first started these 13 1/2 years was writing letters to each other. You definitely surprised me, but I will keep all of them forever with the ones I sent to you. No matter how much I miss us, keep smiling my dear. I love you more!
