Vivian Lanier Lee

Vivian Lanier Lee, beloved wife, mother grandmother passed away on September 2nd, 2016 in Altavista, Va. She was born on August 31st, 1918 to Asa and Lucy Lanier of Rocky Mount. She met and married the late Talmadge Lee in Rocky Mount. Vivian was a homemaker while her husband was a railroad engineer. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver to family members, including her husband and her mother. A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 AM on September 6, 2016 at Pineview cemetery in Rocky Mount with Reverend Mike Hobbs officiating. She is survived by her three children: Sheila Campbell and her husband, Ron of Altavista, Va., Bob Lee his wife Wanda of Greenville NC, Tonya Lowe and her husband, RM of Raleigh NC.; a sister, Sybil Valentini of Reisterstown, Md., Grandchildren: Julie Hill, Stephen Campbell, Andrea Hamilton, David Lee, Sherry Jones, Morgan Harrison, Jeff Lowe and Brooks Lowe; Great grandchildren: Quinn Hill, Emilee Hill, Tori Campbell, Banks Campbell, Sydney Campbell, Darby Campbell, Elizabeth Hamilton, Lee Hamilton, Dylan Lee, Thomas Jones, Tara Jones, Lanier Harrison, Lakely Harrison and Kathryn Lowe. Vivian was preceded in death by a sister, Della Mae White of Rocky Mount, NC. and a granddaughter, Susan Campbell of Altavista, Va. The family would like to thank the staff at Autumn Care of Altavista, Virginia for the care given over the last 2 years.
