Battleboro - Willie Ray Adcox, age 84, passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2020. Born in Nash County, NC on May 19, 1935, he was the son of the late Robert and Katie W. Adcox. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Nancy A. Adcox; two sisters, Billie D. Farmer and Mary K. Collins; and five brothers, Robert M. Adcox, Floyd T. Adcox, Bennie K. Adcox, Melvin R. Adcox and Sammy K. Adcox.
Willie leaves behind to cherish his memory, son, William Adcox. He is also survived by sister, Gwen Johnson, brother, Carthoris Adcox and two special nieces, Bonnie Leonard and Kathy Herring.
Willie was a Deacon at Lake Waccamaw Baptist Church, after he moved to Battleboro, he attended Battleboro Baptist Church. Willie was a Volunteer Fireman at Lake Waccamaw Fire Department.
The family will hold a private graveside service.
