  1. Gordon, please accept Mary Lu’s and my condolences on the passing of your brother. You will be in our thoughts and prayers.

  2. Sandy – It seems no time at all since we took a trip from NC to Florida in your truck, nearly 40 years ago! My first introduction to life on the road in the US & to my American cousins. (Gordon included of course). We had a great time and I am so glad this was followed by many more good times on subsequent trips to the NC from Scotland – you were the closest relations in our world wide family! At least when I worked in NC the trips to Rocky Mount were easier and a little more frequent, and there was always a warm welcome on the farm & time to fish and chat! These are fond memories of a special time with our American Family.
Of course, as life moved on it was more difficult to ‘pop across the pond’ but no matter the time or distance it was always easy just to pick up where we left off. I am so pleased that I was able to bring the whole family across for a visit a few years ago now, and that I managed to catch up again in late 2019 – although all too briefly.
I am sorry that we are so far away and couldn’t be with you in more recent times, but know that you were in very good hands until the end and are now at peace.
    Lots of love,
    Andrew, Ann, Cameron & Kate

  3. Sandy was a true friend with great knowledge of practical things holding a life-long enjoyment of learning. After teaching the game of Mahjong, he would gladly enhance the lesson by demonstrating skill in handling the tiles as taught by his parents. Whether it was fishing, wildlife photography, shooting, Sandy did not do things by half-steps.
His philosophy about wildlife photography centered on not getting involved, but observing the animal’s natural behavior. It was always a joy hearing his latest accomplishment or challenge in fishing or photography.
We agreed on many things and disagreed regularly in a respectful manner. Sandy did not fear the opinion of the world. He will be missed.
