ROCKY MOUNT – Alice Marilyn Denty Jackson, born on November 16, 1952, in Bad Nauheim, Germany, passed away peacefully surrounded by love.
Alice was a truly selfless and compassionate woman who dedicated the majority of her life to helping children grow, thrive, and feel supported—especially those most in need. Through both her work as a Day Care Director and volunteerism through the Guardian ad Litem program, Alice became a fierce advocate for children and left a lasting impact on countless lives.
She had a rare gift for connection—Alice never met a stranger. Her warmth, kindness, and genuine care for others made her deeply loved by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Alice is survived by her three children, Christie, Rusty, and Brandon Jackson; her beloved grandsons, Max and Wyatt; her brother, Eddie Denty; her sisters-in-law, Ann Denty and Phyllis Denty; and her nephew, Nick Denty. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Lydia Denty, and her brother, Mike Denty.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose legacy of love and service will continue to live on through her family and all those she touched.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life June 13, 2026 from 2pm-5pm. Please refer to the following link for details and to RSVP by May 31, 2026. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/1988491899801?aff=oddtdtcreator
