Rocky Mount - Alma Ruth Proctor Crocker, 90 passed away Sunday, May 06, 2018 at home. She was born October 1, 1927. Alma was preceded in death by her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband Ottis “Bill” Crocker Jr., daughter Vicki Nelms and one brother. Alma is survived by her three daughters: Nancy C. Barker of Sylva, NC, Janet C. Spring, and Lisa C. Carmody all of Rocky Mount, one son Ricky Crocker of Rocky Mount. 10 grandchildren; Dianne Ringer, Karen Parker, Heather Minchew, Travis Crocker, Vanessa and Justin Nelms, Julia, Sarah, Kaitlyn and Andrew Carmody, 5 great-grandchildren; Tyler and Ragen Ringer, Jessica Hinnant, Gavin Parker and David Minchew, one sister Mary Crocker. Alma loved her family and church. She was a member of Englewood Assembly of God. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 noon with the funeral service beginning at 12:00 noon in the chapel of Johnson Funeral Home, 661 English Road, Rocky Mount, NC. Burial will take place at Rocky Mount Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Johnson Funeral Home Cremation Services, 661 English Drive, Rocky Mount, NC 27804.   1. I am sorry sorry to hear about Aunt AlmaRuth. I remember going to stay with all on weekends. I love it. My prayers and thoughts are with yall. Im sorry I cant be there but my COPD has me in bed again.

  2. I have many memories of Aunt Ruth. She was a busy woman back in the day when me and Betty Sue use to stay with the family while mama worked. It seemed like Aunt Ruth was always doing something in the kitchen. My fondest memory is the bread pudding she made for all of us. It was the best snack ever. I still think about it.
