Angela Jenkins - "Angie"

ROANOKE RAPIDS, NC – Angela Jean Jenkins – “Angie”, age 59, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024.  Born in Hertford County, NC on May 22, 1965.

Angie loved to cook just about anything, but her family’s favorite was her fried chicken. She loved the spring season, and all the beautiful spring flowers. Angie could often be found sitting on her porch in the swing or visiting friends. She loved the beach, but Angie especially loved traveling with her mom to Myrtle Beach. Angie also enjoyed playing slots. She loved her family, as they were everything to her. However, Unique was known as the favorite. She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family.

Angie is survived by her three daughters, Ashley Jenkins, of Conway, NC, Christy Jenkins (Tonikaa), of Greenville, NC, and Staniesha Jenkins, of Roanoke Rapids, NC; her grandchildren, Zamarieon Alston, Rufus Flythe, III, Joshua Flythe, Unique Jenkins, Treniyah Warren, Trevion Warren, Amar Jenkins, and Trevon Warren, Jr.; her father, Stanford Eugene Jenkins; her mother, Pearlie Ann Barnes Brown; her sister, Lisa Jenkins; brother, Cliff Jenkins; nephews, David Jenkins, Jr., Justin Jenkins, and Jordan Jenkins; her niece, Allison Jenkins; special friend, Yolanda Mitchell; and god-children, Quashema Mitchell, Derrick Mitchell, and Carlton Mitchell.

A Celebration of Angie’s Life will be held on Sunday, December 1, 2024 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services at 661 English Road Rocky Mount, NC 27804 with Pastor Bruce Brumfield officiating.
