Barbara Ann Jones Joyner

Barbara Jones Joyner, age, 85 passed away May 15, 2020, in Wake Forest, North Carolina. She was born October 18, 1935 in Edgecombe County to the late Leslie Herbert Jones Sr. and late Marietta Ward Jones. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Angela Lynn Joyner, Sister-in-Law, Ray Bass Jones, Brother-in Law, Ryland T. Williamson and Niece, Wanda Jones Smith. Barbara leaves behind to cherish her memory, Son, Stanley Lawrence Joyner and his wife Amy Burnette Joyner, Daughter, Karen Joyner Weathers and her husband Joshua James Weathers. Grandchildren, Ryan Dudley Joyner, Jacob Dean Joyner and William Davis Joyner, Ella Grace Weathers and Olivia Kate Weathers. Brother. Leslie Herbert Jones Jr., sister, Mary Alice Jones Weeks and her husband Linwood C. Weeks Sr. and sister Marie Jones Williamson. Many loving nephews, nieces, and many great nephews and nieces. She was a long-term proud member of Westview Baptist Church. Her faith was extremely important to her and she was always found in Church when the doors were open for services or there was an opportunity for her to volunteer for as long as she was able. Family was also a tremendous part of her life. After Church on Sunday you would find her at her parent's home for Sunday lunch with the entire Jones Family. During the summer she would work in the family vegetable garden and can vegetables with her mother and sisters in mother's kitchen. She loved to vacation with her extended family and her sister Marie and her friend Beverly in her senior years. She had a wonderful heart and opened her home to any family and friends whenever the need arose or they desired to live with her.
