Betsy Ann King Sanderson

NASHVILLE - Betsy Ann King Sanderson, age 69, passed away on Tuesday, June 22, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on May 28, 1952, she was the daughter of the late John King Sr. and Edna Harper King. She was also preceded in death by her son, Brandon Jones; and sisters, Nell Wall and Carolyn Smith. Betsy was an especially good baker and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends. She had a knack for fashion like no other. She was very sociable and enjoyed dancing, going to festivals and fairs. She loved watching her garden grow, shopping for antiques and doing crafts. Her favorite memories were spent with her children, grandchildren, extended family, and fur baby Delcie. She will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend to all that knew and loved her. Betsy is survived by her son, Christopher Jones and wife, Katrina, of Hope Mills; brothers, John King, Jr. of Nashville and Danny Ray King and wife, Betty, of Castalia; six grandchildren, Kelly, Brittany, Alex, Kaelyn, Alainna, and Jacob; her faithful fur baby, Delcie; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Betsy's Life will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Rev. Tommy Hagan officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 PM to 6:45 PM prior to the service in the Chapel Johnson Funeral Home. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the family is requesting the need for social distancing and wearing of masks due to health concerns faced around our nation at this time.
