Betty M. Batchelor

ROCKY MOUNT - Betty M. Batchelor, age 78, passed away on Monday, January 3, 2022. Born in Edgecombe County, NC on November 12, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Herman Morris and Elsie Jackson Morris. She was also preceded in death by her son, Alvin Ray House; and her brother, Jimmy Morris. Betty was known for being a hard worker. She was a waitress at Western Sizzlin for 25 years, and a waitress at Waffle House for 20 years. Betty was a very independent person and loved being able to do things her own way on her own time. She loved going to the beach and listening to music. Betty enjoyed collecting Betty Boop memorabilia and watching butterflies. Her door was always open to anyone that needed as friend. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family. Betty is survived by her daughter, Tammy Ramirez, of Rocky Mount; her son, Keith House, of Rocky Mount; her grandchildren, Wendy House Ali and her husband, Foad, John Lee Crumpler, Jr. and his wife, Abby, Kristina Crumpler, Brittany House, Christopher House, Hannah House, Kaitlin House, Daisy Ramirez, and Tomas Ramirez; her great-grandchildren, Adam Ali, Zachariah Ali, Emraan Ali, Rayhana Ali, Miranda House, Carter Reid, Ethan House and Zaiden House; her sister, Margaret M. Bulluck and husband, Johnny, of Battleboro; and her brother, Johnny Morris and his wife, Pat, of Rocky Mount. A service to be held at a later date.
