NASHVILLE - Carolyn Tevepaugh, age 71, passed away on Saturday, November 6, 2021. Born in Nash County, NC on April 30, 1950, she was the daughter of the late Earl Kendrick Marks and Helen Marie Gay Marks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Willie Tevepaugh; and her brother, E.K. Marks.
Carolyn was known as a very easy-going person. She enjoyed watching game shows. In her down time, she could always be found with a book in her hand. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved her, but her loving spirit will never be forgotten as she was everything to her family.
Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Mary Helen Temple (Ricky), of Nashville; her sons, James Earl Tevepaugh (Frances), of Rocky Mount, and Jason Scott Tevepaugh, of Nashville; her step-daughter, Daphine Minchew (William), of Nashville; her step-sons, Thomas Earl Tevepaugh, of Poplar Branch, Henry Tevepaugh, of Poplar Branch, and Willie Tevepaugh, Jr., of Fayetteville; her grandchildren, Sandy Hughes, Renee Tevepaugh, Alexander Tevepaugh, Amber Tevepaugh, and Hayden Alexis Temple; numerous great-grandchildren; and her sister-in-law, Debbie Marks, of Nashville.
A Graveside Service will be held on Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Red Oak Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Carlton Cockrell officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Johnson Funeral Home.
