One memory I remember is the lengthy coversations we would always have anytime we talked on the phone. We would just ramble about anything and everything. Everytime we went to hang up Faye would always say thank you for talking with me. My heart goes out to you Mr. Mitchell, family, and friends during this time of loss. You all are in my deepest thoughts and prayers. RIP Mrs. Mitchell you will be missed.
Family reunions are a time of happiness. Joyful memories are shared, gossip is swapped, fences are mended, young & old proudly wear gaudy T-shirt’s and we realize a family is more than shared DNA, it’s a history we as parents, siblings, and friends create together. On November 20, there was a family reunion as Momma & daddy along with our brothers and sisters who have gone before us welcomed Faye into their arms Monday. This was a reunion of all the lifetimes on earth that ended before her arrival there back home to them. Even though there were no pictures posted on Facebook or tweets exchanged I know love was exchanged, & healing transpired. Life wasn’t always easy for Faye, but she often expressed how she knew what real love was, because she found that the day she found Mitch. Their love for each other was so obvious and endless. They took their marriage vows to heart, something that so many people these days don’t but the work into upholding. They truly had each other’s backs. He cared for Faye, protected her, held her hand wiped her tears and all of us who love Faye can never thank him enough for always remaining her knight in shining armor. My sister had a heart of gold, and never forgot the joy of community. She helped those less fortunate than her whenever she could. She always checked on loved ones and honestly cared about us all. Our sister Faye had a huge heart, her heart loved so many people whether they were deserving of that love or not. Sadly her big, golden heart was not immune to heartbreak. There will be those living with regret for not accepting and returning the love Faye offered them. I don’t know, nor do I care how or if you’ll ever find peace. It’s with a heavy heart we say goodbye to our sister Faye. We will miss her hearty laugh, bright eyes, and loving soul. Thank you from the entire Childers family Mitch for EVERYTHING you did for our little sister, you’ll always be part of this family. Rosa Lee Childers Botelho and family.
I will always remember all the laughter we shared. Hours plus phone calls, cards and arguing over plastic flowers. That was the best laughter I have ever had. I will miss you so very much my dear friend. You are in God’s hands now, I’m sure your firecracker personality will make heaven more of a paradise. I love you. Susie Kessler ( mee )
